Welcome to the most powerful feature of Pixalo! Our proprietary session matching technology analyzes the exact capture times of your camera photos and matches them with data from the mobile app. Completely without QR cards, all images land 100% automatically in the correct student profile!
1. Upload Photos & Select Session
Navigate to an event in the dashboard and click on "Upload Photos". Drag your finished JPGs from Lightroom into the upload window. Instead of creating galleries manually, simply choose the "Mobile Session" created on the smartphone from the dropdown on the right.
2. Millisecond-Accurate Assignment
After you click Import, Pixalo extracts the hidden EXIF timestamps (creation date) from every single photo. The system compares this value with the start and end times you pressed on the mobile app for each student. If the photo time falls exactly within a student's time window, the photo is immediately and permanently assigned to that child and their class!
The Time in Detail
When you click on a processed image, you can see exactly why Pixalo assigned it. The system shows you the camera time read from the image (EXIF) on the right, and matches it with the green session timeframe ("Shooting Active"). Just make sure that your DSLR time matches your smartphone time exactly!
